A truck driver's quest to become a famous pop star is the subject of a new original documentary that will debut on Aug. 21 on CPICS.TV, a streaming platform that offers South Asian and crossover content.

The documentary, No Ordinary Life: Trucker's Dream, is directed by Harper Gahunia and is part of the platform's No Ordinary Life anthology series, which profiles men and women whose extraordinary dreams, ambitions and talents set them apart.

The series features individuals who have either achieved remarkable success or continue pursuing their goals through determination, commitment and endurance.

In Trucker's Dream, audiences follow a young long-haul trucker navigating America's highways while working toward an ambition far beyond the road. Between long hours behind the wheel, distant destinations and the sacrifices that come with life on the road, he continues to develop his musical talent while believing his dream of becoming a major pop star remains within reach.

Directed with what the platform describes as "warmth and honesty," the documentary offers "an intimate portrait of a person balancing everyday responsibilities with an extraordinary creative ambition." It explores the challenges of pursuing a dream while working within the demanding realities of ordinary life.

At its core, the film celebrates resilience, passion and determination, showing how perseverance can transform an everyday existence into "an inspiring story of hope, purpose, and possibility."

The documentary also poses what it calls a universal question: "How far are we willing to travel, literally—and how much are we prepared to sacrifice—to reach the life we imagine for ourselves?"

Through one young man's journey across America, the film seeks to remind audiences that extraordinary stories are not limited to celebrities or public figures, but can also be found "in truck stops, on open highways, and within ordinary people who continue moving forward despite uncertainty."
