Indian community gathers for Dosti musical night in New Jersey

Musical night in New Jersey / CTU
A soulful blend of nostalgia, music and community spirit filled the iconic Royal Albert’s Palace on Friendship Day as Cultivate Talents Unlimited LLC (CTU) hosted its musical production, the "Dosti Special Jamming Night," celebrating friendship, community and timeless music.
Curated by CTU founders Jyotsna and Tarun Sharma, the creative minds behind the popular "Bhajan Clubbing Nights" in the U.S., the evening brought together an ensemble of 15 professional Bollywood vocalists and musicians.
More than 250 guests were taken on an immersive three-hour musical journey through classic and contemporary Bollywood hits.
"While there are many events for festivals or Valentine's Day, true friendship rarely gets its own spotlight," said founders Jyotsna and Tarun. "Friends are our biggest support system outside of family, and we wanted to create an evening dedicated entirely to celebrating those irreplaceable bonds."
In addition to the musical performances, CTU used the platform to honor prominent local leaders, philanthropists and community patrons.
The prestigious Community Icon Awards were presented to the Indian Business Association Inc., Dr. H.R. Shah (Padma Shri, Chairman of TV Asia), Dr. Sudhir Parikh (Padma Shri, Chairman of Parikh Worldwide Media), Piyush J. Patel (Philanthropist and Founder, Unity4Cause), Dr. Avinash Gupta (Chairman, Siddhivinayak Temple, Toms River), Dr. Puneet Misra (Professor, AIIMS New Delhi), and Albert Jasani (Philanthropist and Owner, Royal Albert’s Palace).
To celebrate key supporters, the Friendship Icon Awards were bestowed upon Anu and Surinder Kumar (Grand Sponsors, Suhag Jewelers), Simran and Harman Ahuja (Ahuja Perfumes/Gift Express), Sweety Shah (Sweety Shah Events), Dr. Garima Jain (President, Healing Handz Physical Therapy), Shalini Jain (Reiki Healer and Founder, Palmarott), and Anita Chadha (Founder, Saraswati Cultural Association).
The organizers also paid tribute to the late Shobhana Patel, philanthropist and partner of Royal Albert’s Palace, for her dedicated friendship and enduring contributions to the area.
