Buyers Edge Platform, a Massachusetts-based foodservice procurement and analytics platform, appointed Rohini Shankar as its new Chief People Officer.
In her new role, Shankar will lead the company's global people strategy.
Shankar brings with her over 20 years of experience, driving organizational transformation and building high-performing cultures across healthcare, financial services, and technology.

Before joining Buyers Edge, she has held senior leadership positions in global organizations, including over two decades at GE, where she led HR strategy and operations across the U.S., India, and Hong Kong.
Shankar studied Political science at Delhi University and Business Administration at Symbiosis International University in Pune, before starting at GE.
John Davie, the CEO of Buyers Edge, said in a statement, "Rohini's expertise in building dynamic, people-first organizations will be instrumental as Buyers Edge Platform continues its rapid expansion."
Davie added, "Her global perspective and proven leadership will strengthen our ability to attract, develop, and retain top talent across the foodservice industry."
In her new role, Shankar will focus on advocating Buyers Edge Platform's people and culture strategy through leadership development, career growth initiatives, and global alignment. She will also lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and expand programs that empower teams across Buyers Edge Platform, the company said in a statement.
