Indian Americans laud message behind film 'Paro: The Untold Story of Bride Slavery'

Indian Americans attended a private screening of Paro: The Untold Story of Bride Slavery on November 10, 2024, at the LOOK Dine-In Cinemas Tysons at the Boro, in Virginia. The film based on a true story highlights societal issues of bride slavery and human trafficking in India and globally. Helmed by producer Sandesh Sharda and executive producer and Impact Advisor, Priya Samant the film features popular Marathi actress Trupti Bhoir and Heeramandi fame actor Taha Shah Badussha in lead roles. Special Guest at the screening was Former Miss World and television personality, Diana Hayden, who commended the cast for their performance and the efforts of the crew in bringing critical issues to light.
