Ganesha idols procession to immersion in Mumbai as festival ends in India

September 2024 433 views 59 Sec

Thousands of devotees dance in celebration as they take gigantic Ganesha idols on a colorful procession down the streets of Mumbai to the Arabian sea for immersion to mark the last day of a 11-day-long Ganesh Chaturthi festival celebrating the elephant God. Believing Ganesha having blessed and spent enough time with them during the festival, and it’s time for him to return to his realm, devotees carried the god’s idols down the sea and immersed them as a way to bid farewell.
