She has developed a new imaging technique to detect aging in osteoarthritis and also has led the team of scientists within the NIH SenNet consortium across the USA to develop expert recommendations for the Biomarkers of Aging. Her research pursuits also include elucidating the brain-bone cross talk in Alzheimer’s disease. She teaches the course ‘Biology of Aging- deciphering senescence’ at Stanford.
