Harbachan Singh

Harbachan Singh, Esq. was a devoted husband to Susil Singh and loving father to Sukhwant, Ramesh, and Praveen. Born in Klang, Malaysia, he was the fifth of seven children of Kishen Singh and Dhan Kaur, raised in a devout Sikh family. He served in the Royal Malaysian Police Force before moving to England, where he qualified as a Barrister-at-Law. He later earned a Master’s in Public Policy from St. John’s University, New York.
Harbachan went on to have a distinguished career at the United Nations, where he served as Chairman of the Committee on Contracts and contributed to global diplomacy. After retiring, he continued his commitment to public service and community leadership through roles with Community Board 8 in Queens, INOC, GOPIO, Queens College Holocaust Center, Queens General Hospital, and more.
Respected as a trusted advisor to leaders in the U.S. and India, Harbachan was also a mentor, traveler, and beloved grandfather who cherished time with his family.
