A high-value real estate transaction between two of Bollywood's most celebrated filmmakers has grabbed attention in Mumbai's upscale Bandra West neighborhood.
Over the past few years, several prominent personalities from the Indian film industry have bought and sold luxury homes in Mumbai's prime neighborhoods. As a result, such transactions often generate attention not only within the real estate sector but also among entertainment enthusiasts who closely follow the lives of Bollywood celebrities.

Acclaimed filmmaker and director of films such as 3 Idiots, and Munna Bhai, Vidhu Vinod Chopra has purchased a luxury apartment from Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures Private Limited, the production company owned by filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
According to property registration documents, the apartment was purchased for $812,823.88. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, a filmmaker is know and highly acclaimed for his movies such as Bhag Milkha Bhag, Rang De Basanti and Delhi-6.
Registry records show that the seller is Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra Pictures Private Limited, represented by Bharathi Mehra. The purchaser is listed as Vinod Dinanath Chopra, the legal name of filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The documents also state that the property is a ground-floor unit in Bahar Apartment.
According to CRE Matrix, the apartment is located in Bahar Apartment on Pali Mala Road, Bandra (West), Mumbai. It has a carpet area of 698 square feet. The transaction was officially registered on June 30, 2026, and the buyer paid $48,769.57 in stamp duty.
For those unfamiliar with Mumbai's real estate market, Bandra West is among the city's most sought-after residential neighbourhoods. It has long been home to Bollywood actors, filmmakers, producers, and business leaders. Pali Mala Road, in particular, is known for its premium residences and high property values, making every major transaction in the area a subject of interest.
