USIBC session on defence cooperation / USIBC via X
The U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) recently hosted an exclusive closed-door session that brought together military scholars, defence industry leaders and representatives of the U.S. military to discuss defence cooperation between India and the United States.
The dialogue examined the structural hurdles that are impeding improved bilateral defence integration between the two countries.
Additionally, the discussion also focused on actionable strategies to overcome bottlenecks in co-production, scale the establishment of new suppliers within India, and foster a more robust, long-term synergy with the Indian defence industrial ecosystem.
Moderated by USICB Aerospace & Defense Director, Udaya Arun, the event featured experts from the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies (APCSS), a Hawaii-based U.S. Department of Defense institute, and U.S. Military Group in India (USMILGP), along with senior leadership from premier U.S. prime defence companies.
