Two Indian Americans named to Colorado Boards

Kotwal and Singh were named to serve on banking and health care boards respectively

Governor Jared Polis of Colorado named Indian Americans Siddharth Kotwal and Mannat Singh to serve as members of various state boards. Their appointments are among the others recently announced by the Governor to assist the state achieve its goals.

According to the Governor's office, Kotwal was inducted into the Colorado Banking Board to serve as a member of the public on the Board, which is mandated to formulate policy and rules for the state’s division of banking and authorized to take final decisions on possession, liquidation, or reorganization of banks, according to the Governor’s office. His term expires on July 1, 2027.

Former senior business leader of product management for MasterCard, Kotwal carries two decades of leadership experience in product, marketing and insights, according to his profile. Recently, He joined Yardi, a tech company as a director. He earned a Graduate degree from Cornell University and a Master’s from Wharton University.

Singh was appointed to the Colorado Healthcare Affordability and Sustainability Enterprise Board as a representative of healthcare consumers for a term expiring on May 15, 2025. The Health Care Board is responsible for working with the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and the Medical Services Board.

A resident of Denver, Colorado, health professional Singh works as an executive director of Colorado Consumer Health Initiative (CCHI), a nonprofit, consumer-oriented, membership-based health advocacy organization. She carries over a decade of experience working in health policy and advocacy on local, regional, and national levels.

Before CCHI, the community health advocacy expert served in many private and public health institutions including the Colorado Commission on Family Medicine, the Colorado Institute of Family Medicine, and the Colorado Association of Family Medicine Residencies.

Singh is a graduate of the University of Colorado School Of Public Affairs with a Master’s in Public Administration, and serves as Faculty at the University of Colorado’s School of Medicine and Affiliate Faculty at the Eugene S. Farley Jr. Health Policy Center
