Simone Ashley to receive International Golden Nymph for Most Promising Talent award
The actress was recognized for her role as Kate Sharma in Netflix’s Bridgerton

British Indian actress of Bridgerton fame, Simone Ashley will be honored with the Golden Nymph for Best International Newcomer at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival set to take place in Monaco on Jun.14.
Ashley was recognized for her portrayal of leading lady Kate Sharma in the second season of Netflix and Shonda Rhimes’ hit series, The Bridgertons . She is also known for her role as Olivia in the television series Sex Education.
The actress was named by FORBES as one of 30 under 30 and was featured on the TIME100 NEXT list in 2022. Born to Indian Tamil parents who immigrated to the United Kingdom, the actress grew up singing classical music, opera, and playing the piano.
The award ceremony will take place during the Opening Ceremony of the 63rd edition of the Festival (June 14-18, 2024).
