Shah Rukh Khan's maiden National award: Euphoria among celebs and other fans

Shah Rukh Khan has won a national award for the first time in a career spanning close to three decades.

The news of Shah Rukh Khan's national award win has sent Bollywood and the fans of King Khan into a frenzy.

The actor has been named Best Actor at the 71st National Film Awards for his role in Jawan.

A-list celebrities reacted to the announcement, leading industry names including Farah Khan, Kajol and Kamal Haasan celebrated Khan's achievement on social media.

Actor Kajol was among the first to react, she shared her joy by posting a Jawan poster on her Instagram story with the caption, “Congratulations on your big win @iamsrk! #jawan #71stnationalfilmawards.”

Farah Khan also posted a heartfelt note on Instagram, saying, “Congratulations, my dearest @iamsrk on winning the national award!! This time, the shiddat se koshish really came through.”

Actor Ajay Devgn also posted a story on Instagram saying, "This is what great storytelling, great acting, great directing does....it lingers." Devgn congratulated all the National Award winners of this year.

Oscar winning composer and musician AR Rehman also celebrated Khan's achievement, describing him as a "legend". Rehman composed music for Jawan, the film that won Khan his first national award.



In a display of India's composite film fraternity, south-superstar Allu Arjun congratulated Khan and said, "Heartiest congratulations to @iamsrk garu on winning the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actor for #Jawan. A well-deserved honour after 33 glorious years in cinema. An another achievement to your endless list sir."



Jawan's director Atlee also posted on X and described his post as a "love letter" to the legend. He said, "I’m super happy that you’ve got the national award for our movie Jawan. It feels very emotional and inspiring to be part of your journey."

He added, "As a fanboy, working with you and making a film and presenting it in a  mass mode of SRK, sir, is a pure, pure blessing from God, and finally, God is so kind to give us back the greatest moment in our life."



Fans also chimed in on the achievement with one user describing Khan as "The Indian for all ages!!." Another social media user described Khan as "the man who made us believe in dreams," and said, "You don't just rule cinema, you rule hearts."
