University of West London confers honorary doctorate on Resham Singh
Singh was recognized for his outstanding leadership, innovation, and role in driving Russell Finex's global expansion, business growth, and long-term economic success.

The University of West London (UWL) has awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration to Indian-origin business leader Resham Singh in recognition of his contributions to business leadership, innovation and economic growth.
The honorary degree was conferred during the university's graduation ceremonies held on July 23 at Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, celebrating Singh's decades-long career and leadership in the manufacturing sector.

A mechanical engineering graduate of the University of Southampton, Singh began his career with Russell Finex, a British manufacturer of industrial sieving and filtration equipment. Over the years, he advanced through several leadership positions, becoming group sales and marketing director in 1997, managing director in 2011 and chairman in 2023.
During his tenure, Russell Finex expanded its international footprint beyond its established operations in Belgium and the United States, strengthening its presence in India and China. The company also recorded significant financial growth, with annual turnover increasing from £17.4 million to nearly £50 million and profits rising from £1.5 million to £14.5 million. The business further invested in new properties in Belgium, India and the United Kingdom, reinforcing its long-term financial stability and supporting continued expansion.
Under Singh's leadership, Russell Finex earned more than 30 industry awards since 2014, receiving recognition for innovation, exports, manufacturing excellence, marketing, employer practices and overall business performance.
The university recognized Singh's career as an example of leadership that combines commercial success with sustained investment in innovation, international growth and organizational development. During the graduation ceremony, he also addressed the graduating class, encouraging students to embrace opportunities, remain adaptable in their careers and pursue professional growth beyond the boundaries of their academic disciplines.
