New York-based multinational consumer products company Colgate-Palmolive promoted Indian American business executive Ram Raghavan to the company's global chief marketing officer (CMO) role.

The promotion to one of the top roles in the global brand comes after an almost three-decade association with the company, which he joined as a management trainee in India in 1997.

Raghavan has worked for the company in India, China, Latin America, Canada, Asia Pacific, and North America, propelling his elevation to his new role.

The promotion reflects the company's confidence in his leadership as it navigates growth opportunities amid rapid changes in technology and consumer behavior.

Before his promotion, he was working as president of the company's Enterprise Oral Care division. He stepped into the role in 2022 and served until June 2026.

Talking about his appointment, he said on LinkedIn, "I am deeply honored and thrilled to step into the chief marketing officer role at Colgate-Palmolive."
