HCF and CoHNA Canada flay Nancy Grewal killing

The Hindu Canadian Foundation (HCF) and Coalition of Hindus of North America (CoHNA) Canada have strongly condemned the killing of Canadian citizen and Khalistani critic, Nancy Grewal, in Ontario, calling for a thorough investigation and stronger action against extremist groups.
Grewal, a prominent social media influencer and YouTuber in the Punjabi diaspora community, was stabbed to death at her residence in the town of LaSalle in the Windsor-Essex region on March 3.

The LaSalle Police Service is investigating the case as a homicide. However, authorities are viewing this as an isolated incident.
HCF took to X, referring to the incident as a “targeted murder,” and cited media reports suggesting that the killing may be linked to Canada‑based Khalistani extremists (CBKE).

The organization reiterated its call for the Government of Canada to formally designate such networks as terrorist entities.
HCF claimed that her murder “must serve as a wake‑up call for Canadians and political leaders,” while urging authorities to consider Grewal’s earlier complaints of being targeted by Khalistani groups.
The organization also announced that, in memory of Grewal, HCF has declared March 3 as "Anti‑Khalistan Day, a movement by Canadians united against terrorism."
CoHNA Canada extended its deepest condolences to Grewal’s family and demanded an “immediate, high-level response from Canadian authorities.”

The organization claimed that the murder is not an isolated incident but a “part of a chilling and escalating pattern of intimidation.”
“The list of those targeted for speaking truth to power in Canada is growing, and every act of violence that goes unaddressed serves to further embolden those who seek to suppress democratic dissent through brutality,” CoHNA wrote on X.
“In this erosion of democratic values, the price is paid by peace loving residents who wish live normal Canadian lives,” the post concluded.
