A town hall discussion on the theme “India–U.S. Partnership: COMPACT for the 21st Century” was held at Washington State University in Pullman on March 13, bringing together students, faculty and policymakers to explore ways to strengthen bilateral ties.

The event featured remarks by U.S. Rep. Michael Baumgartner, who shared insights on advancing cooperation between India and the United States across strategic, economic and technological sectors.

Participants also heard from Elizabeth Cantwell, president of Washington State University, who hosted the discussions and welcomed attendees from the university community.



Organized with the participation of the Consulate General of India in Seattle, the session aimed to encourage dialogue on the evolving India–U.S. partnership and the role of academic institutions in fostering international collaboration.

A diverse group of students and faculty attended the town hall, engaging in conversations on opportunities for deeper cooperation between the two nations in the 21st century.
