CG Srikar Reddy inaugurates Malabar Gold and Diamonds Santa Clara outlet

The new California outlet features more than 30,000 jewellery designs sourced from 20 countries.

Malabar Gold and Diamonds expanded its presence in the United States with the opening of a new showroom in Santa Clara, California, marking its eighth outlet in the country and 11th in North America.

The new showroom, located at 2046 El Camino Real in Santa Clara Town Centre, was inaugurated by K. Srikar Reddy, Consul General of India in San Francisco, in the presence of company executives, customers and well-wishers.

With more than 445 showrooms across 14 countries, Malabar Gold and Diamonds said the latest expansion reinforces its growth strategy in North America, a market it described as a key driver of its international business.

“North America operations continue to be a key driver of Malabar Gold & Diamonds’ international growth. With the opening of our Santa Clara showroom, we reaffirm our commitment to bringing the art and craftsmanship of India to jewellery connoisseurs across North America,” said M.P. Ahammad, chairman of Malabar Group.

“Our expansion not only reflects our ambition but also the continued trust and enthusiasm that customers in the USA have placed in our brand,” he added.



The Santa Clara showroom offers more than 30,000 jewellery designs sourced from 20 countries and features 25 exclusive brands and collections spanning gold, diamond and precious gemstone jewellery. The outlet also houses an extensive bridal jewellery collection, a bespoke jewellery design facility and a customer lounge.

Abdul Salam K.P., vice chairman of Malabar Group, described the launch as a significant milestone in the company’s North American journey.

“The launch of our 8th showroom in the USA and our 11th in North America marks a momentous milestone for Malabar Gold & Diamonds. We have come a long way since opening our first US showroom in Chicago in 2018, establishing ourselves as a leading champion of the ‘Make in India; Market to the World’ vision in the western hemisphere,” he said.

The company said its growth strategy remains closely linked to its environmental, social and governance (ESG) commitments, including responsible sourcing practices and sustainability initiatives across its markets.

Shamlal Ahamed, managing director – International Operations, said the Santa Clara outlet is the company’s second showroom in California after Los Angeles and is aimed at serving the growing Indian diaspora in the region.

“The Santa Clara showroom is our second in the state of California, building on the outstanding success of our flagship Los Angeles showroom. As the home of Silicon Valley, Santa Clara is a market with tremendous potential,” Ahamed said.

He added that the company plans to open its ninth US showroom in Seattle in the coming weeks, with further expansion planned across cities including San Francisco, Tampa, Virginia, Detroit, Houston, Charlotte, Phoenix, New York and San Diego. In Canada, the retailer plans new outlets in Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal.

Founded in 1993, Malabar Gold and Diamonds said it allocates 5 percent of its net profits towards ESG initiatives, with programmes focused on healthcare, education, hunger relief, housing, women’s empowerment and environmental sustainability.
