“We are thrilled to welcome Asheet. His expertise navigating the complexities of global financial institutions and his track record in driving large-scale digital transformation are unparalleled. He will be an invaluable influence as we aggressively expand our platform's AI capabilities and global footprint,” said Gary Hoberman, CEO and founder of Unqork.
At McKinsey, Mehta advised banks, insurers, payments firms, and asset managers on strategy, risk, and regulatory management, with a focus on turning technological and macroeconomic disruption into growth opportunities.
He also co-led the firm’s Global Financial Services Practice, served on its Shareholders Council, and held the role of Chief Transformation Officer for North America.
In 2025, Mehta founded ResFi.ai, a fintech platform that uses artificial intelligence and behavioral finance to provide automated, data-driven financial advice aimed at improving consumer financial outcomes, including reducing interest costs and accelerating debt repayment.
Mehta currently serves on the boards and risk committees of Pagaya Technologies and Piramal Finance, and advises several fintech and AI firms, including Avantos.ai and Bright Money.
“Enterprises are at a critical inflection point in AI adoption, with the demand for speed in conflict with the imperative to minimize risk and technical debt. Unqork's AI-first platform is the first solution I've seen that enables enterprises to launch applications rapidly without compromising governance and security. As a three-time investor in Unqork, I am excited to work alongside Gary and the leadership team as Unqork continues to redefine how enterprises build and scale mission-critical software,” Mehta said.
Beyond corporate roles, Mehta serves on the board of Asia Society, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee, and on the Board of Visitors of Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he chairs the Finance Committee.
He holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from Columbia Engineering and a master's in business administration from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
