Kamala Harris unveils plans to build 'opportunity economy'

August 2024 428 views 03 Min 50 Sec

Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, unveils an economic blueprint heavy on popular measures to cut costs for Americans while attacking powerful companies for price gouging, as she fleshes out her election platform ahead of the Democratic National Convention. "Together, we will build what I call an opportunity economy," Harris tells her supporters in North Carolina -- a vital battleground state -- as she lays out a vision for combating the inflation which has soured voters on her boss President Joe Biden.
