New York–based digital marketing agency Projio, focused on architects and building professionals, named Adithi Garood as the winner of its inaugural Future of Architecture Scholarship.
Garood, who is pursuing a master’s degree in environmental building design at the University of Pennsylvania’s Stuart Weitzman School of Design, was selected from applicants across the United States.
Candidates were asked to respond to the theme “Storytelling Through Digital Presence,” examining how architectural work can be communicated online.
Applicants were required to submit a written essay and a visual presentation outlining strategies for presenting architectural projects online, with an emphasis on user experience, layout, and search engine optimization.
“We were incredibly impressed by Adithi’s ability to connect her design vision across both written and visual formats,” said Victoria Silecchia, chief marketing officer of Omnizant.
“Her submission demonstrated how digital platforms can help people truly understand and connect with architectural projects they may never experience firsthand. Adithi highlighted how this kind of storytelling is especially powerful for sustainable and net-zero design, where broader understanding can drive meaningful, widespread impact,” she added.
Projio said the annual scholarship was launched to support emerging architects who integrate aesthetics with modern technology and to underline the growing importance of digital presence in architectural practice. The initiative seeks to equip future professionals to communicate design value effectively in an increasingly online environment.
Garood is from Bangalore and has professional experience working with architecture practices in India prior to beginning her graduate studies in the United States.
She previously worked as a junior architect with Arun Nalapat Architects in Bangalore and has also completed internships and freelance assignments in India. She holds a bachelor of architecture degree from RV College of Architecture, Bangalore.
