Physician Jaya Shah to receive honor at Ohio temple

Dr. Jaya Shah, a trustee of AIPNO Medical Yatra, will be honored by the Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple Vadtal Dham on March 8 in observance of International Women’s Day.
The event will take place Sunday at 3 p.m. at the temple, located at 575 Richmond Rd, Richmond Heights, OH 44143.
According to the announcement, Shah is being recognized for her service and medical outreach through AIPNO’s Medical Yatra. Organizers said her work, along with her husband, Ramesh Shah, has supported underserved communities by providing access to treatment and medical guidance.

The temple cited her professional work as a physician and her commitment to community service as reasons for the recognition. The announcement stated that her efforts have “made a profound impact on countless lives” and described her as embodying “strength, resilience, and dedication.”
Shah’s contributions through AIPNO’s Medical Yatra have focused on expanding access to health care for populations that might otherwise go without care, the statement said.
The program is open to community members who wish to attend and recognize her service.
