The Malayalam film ‘Moham’ won best film and best actress at the 48th edition of the , becoming the only Indian entry among 13 films in the main competition category to secure top honors.
Directed by Fazil Razak and produced by Razak Ahamed, the 2026 psychological drama earned global recognition with its dual wins. Actor Amrutha Krishnakumar received the best actress award for her role in the film, which stood out in the competition lineup.
‘Moham’ follows Amala, a psychologically vulnerable woman driven by a desire to ride a motorbike. Her life takes a darker turn after she meets Shanu, a man motivated by revenge, who manipulates her into illegal activities under false promises. The narrative centers on the psychological tension between the two characters.
