Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi is leading the Illinois U.S. Senate Democratic primary by a significant margin, according to new polling released Aug.12 by the Impact Fund, the affiliated PAC of Indian American Impact. The survey, conducted among likely Democratic primary voters, shows Krishnamoorthi with unmatched statewide name recognition and majority backing when undecided voters are factored in.
The poll found that Krishnamoorthi is the most widely recognized candidate in the race, with 88 percent name recognition across Illinois. In a three-way matchup against Lt. Governor Juliana Stratton and Congresswoman Robin Kelly, he holds a 21-point lead—38 percent for Krishnamoorthi, 17 percent for Stratton, and 7 percent for Kelly, with 37 percent undecided.
