Actor and comedian Kumail Nanjiani said immigration status does not automatically translate into a sense of belonging in the United States, reflecting on identity, acceptance and cultural memory during a recent conversation with comedian Hasan Minhaj.
The remarks were made on Minhaj’s Doesn’t Know podcast, where the two discussed Nanjiani’s new stand-up special Night Thoughts, along with language, comedy, cinema and cricket.
