The Indian Overseas Congress, USA has expressed deep shock and sorrow over the sudden passing of Harbachan Singh, its long-serving secretary-general and one of the organization’s most respected leaders.
Vice-chairman George Abraham said Singh “left an indelible mark on the organization, shaping its vision and values.”

Throughout his tenure, Singh worked tirelessly to strengthen the IOCUSA, expand its reach, and keep the Indian diaspora informed and engaged. His integrity, dedication, and openness to dialogue made him a trusted voice and an inspiration to colleagues and community members alike.
Beyond his official role, Singh was admired for his warmth, humility, and deep commitment to community service. He nurtured relationships, built bridges, and embodied the values of unity and inclusiveness that define the organization.
The IOCUSA said his passing leaves a void that will be difficult to fill but vowed that his legacy of service and leadership will continue to guide the organization. The group extended heartfelt condolences to Singh’s family and loved ones during this time of profound loss.
