Five women of Indian origin have been named among 50 honorees in OPULIS, a new coffee table book by Women in Cloud to mark Microsoft’s 50th anniversary. The book, created with support from Microsoft and its Alumni Network, will be released globally in October 2025 during Microsoft’s Giving Month.

The Indian-origin honorees include Chaitra Vedullapalli, Monika Mital Gupta, Aparana Gupta, Sharmila Rathinam, and Nitasha Chopra. Vedullapalli, who is also the executive producer of OPULIS and president of Women in Cloud, said the book is not about titles but impact. “These women are builders of innovation, architects of access, and catalysts for the future of inclusive AI,” she said.
