Indian-origin Northeastern student prioritizes patients in Blizzard
Tandon said showing up during the storm was life-saving for patients.

Anya Tandon, a Northeastern co-op working as a clinical assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital, said the Feb. 23 blizzard was a test of commitment, stressing that healthcare workers must “be able to show up” even in dangerous weather because it can make a life-saving difference.
Tandon, a fourth-year behavioral neuroscience and pre-med student at the university, said that despite the hurdles, healthcare associates need to overcome them to report to work, as their presence can have a huge impact on patients.
