Ayurveda-based Indian beauty and wellness brand indē wild launched on Sephora’s U.S. platform, marking a major step in its international expansion.

The brand debuted on Sephora.com on March 3 and is scheduled to roll out in 178 select Sephora stores across the United States beginning March 13.

Founded in 2021 by influencer and entrepreneur Diipa Büller-Khosla and Oleg Büller-Khosla, indē wild blends traditional Ayurvedic ingredients with modern cosmetic science, a formulation approach the company calls “Ayurvedistry.”

The launch is the brand’s first major retail partnership in the United States. It follows indē wild’s expansion into Sephora UK in 2024 and comes amid growing international interest in Indian-origin beauty brands.

“Sephora U.S. marks an important step in indē wild's growth from a digitally native brand to a global retail presence,” said Büller-Khosla. “From day one, we built indē wild around the belief that Ayurvedic wisdom and clinical science can coexist in a way that feels both elevated and accessible.”

The U.S. rollout follows a $5 million investment led by Unilever Ventures, with participation from SoGal Ventures, aimed at expanding the company’s international retail presence.

“India and the US are two of the most influential beauty markets today, combining scale, influence and rapid growth and innovation,” said Rachel Harris, partner at Unilever Ventures. “indē wild's launch with Sephora U.S. reflects the credibility the brand has built in India and its ability to carry that momentum into one of the industry's most competitive beauty retail environments.”

Brooke Banwart, senior vice president of skincare merchandising at Sephora U.S., said the retailer expects the line to appeal to customers seeking products inspired by traditional ingredients and backed by scientific formulations.

“We're thrilled to partner with indē wild and introduce their line of results-driven products to our clients,” Banwart said. “As a former participant in our Sephora Accelerate Program, indē wild unifies Indian Ayurvedic traditions with scientifically proven formulas to brighten skin, address hyperpigmentation, and eliminate dryness.”

The Sephora rollout will include the brand’s skincare and haircare range, including its Champi hair oil and formulations containing ingredients such as bakuchiol and vitamin C. The company says its Champi hair oil sells at a rate of one bottle every minute globally.
