India will join Poland and Hungary as one of only three countries selected to host an official Watch Party for the launch of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), a spaceflight mission operated by Axiom Space. The event will be held on June 11, 2025, at 8:00 AM EDT at Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) in Jamshedpur.
The Watch Party is being organized under the leadership of Nakul Kamani, president of NHES, in collaboration with the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) Jharkhand and with support from IACC India.
Jagdip Ahluwalia, founding secretary and executive director of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH), played a key role in enabling the event. His efforts were supported by Kapil Kaul, former national president of IACC India.
The Ax-4 mission marks a significant milestone for India as Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla of the Indian Air Force will serve as the Mission Pilot. The Watch Party will be included in Axiom Space’s official launch webcast, showcasing India's engagement in the mission and highlighting the contributions of Group Captain Shukla.
“This is a proud moment for India and the global Indian community,” the organizers said, noting that the event aims to inspire students and highlight the importance of international partnerships in space exploration.
The Watch Party is a non-commercial, educational event meant to engage young audiences with the excitement of space science and international cooperation.
The launch will be streamed live globally at: axiom.space/live.
