‘India must intervene’: Rights group request on Bangladesh crisis

They are also pushing for a US Congressional hearing on the growing matters of concern in Bangladesh.

Members of the Bangladesh Human Rights Watch (BHRW), a U.S.-based advocacy group, have appealed for international intervention, especially from India, to stem the deteriorating human rights situation in the South Asian country.

The representatives raised a cascade of concerns about Bangladesh, including the rise of Islamist radicalism, the targeting of Hindu minorities, regional destabilization, and what the group alleges is the questionable influence of Interim Administrator Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
