Arizona-based digital-first K–12 education company, Imagine Learning has appointed Anjeneya Dubey as its chief technology officer, effective immediately.
The company announced the appointment on Jan. 20, saying Dubey will lead its technology and engineering operations as it expands the use of artificial intelligence across its curriculum and assessment platforms, with a focus on what it describes as “Curriculum-Informed AI” — an approach aimed at linking curriculum, classroom data and instructional outcomes.

In a statement, Leslie Curtis, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Imagine Learning, said Dubey’s background in software-as-a-service products, data platforms and artificial intelligence was a factor in the appointment.
“As we build the next era of learning technology, we are investing in leadership that understands both the complexity of enterprise-scale systems and the nuance of classroom impact,” Curtis said.
Dubey said he is joining the company at a time when the role of artificial intelligence in education is expanding.
“I’m thrilled to join Imagine Learning at such a pivotal moment,” Dubey said. “This role is a chance to shape how AI can responsibly enhance instructional outcomes, deepen personalization, and support the educators who drive student success every day.”
Dubey joins Imagine Learning from Honeywell, where he most recently served as global head of platform engineering and earlier led cloud operations and site reliability engineering.
Before joining Honeywell, Dubey spent nearly eight years at McGraw-Hill Education, where he held senior engineering leadership roles overseeing site reliability, performance, capacity engineering and infrastructure for digital education platforms used in higher education and K–12.
Dubey has more than two decades of experience in software engineering, cloud platforms and artificial intelligence, and has led engineering organizations of more than 400 people across multiple regions.
He holds multiple patents related to hybrid and multi-cloud architecture and has managed global infrastructure across Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
Dubey holds an executive certificate in business administration from the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and a bachelor of technology degree in electronics and communication engineering from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology.
As chief technology officer, Dubey will oversee Imagine Learning’s engineering, DevOps, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and cloud infrastructure teams. The company said his initial priorities include strengthening curriculum data pipelines, improving the speed at which teachers receive performance insights, and scaling platform reliability across its products.
Imagine Learning said its products are currently used by more than 18 million students in over half of U.S. school districts.
