Illness outbreak linked to Redmond Indian eatery’s holiday meal

Onset of illness occurred between Nov. 28 and 29, with symptoms including diarrhea, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, headache, and body aches.

Public health officials in King County are investigating an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness tied to food served as part of a Redmond-based Indian restaurant’s Thanksgiving offering.

The illnesses have been linked to Kanishka Cuisine of India’s “Fusion Thanksgiving Feast,” prepared for pickup and delivery on Nov. 27 and 28. At least 35 people reported becoming sick, though no hospitalizations or deaths have been recorded.
