DP World has appointed Yuvraj Narayan, a 22 year veteran of the Dubai based logistics company, as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, on Feb. 13.

Narayan was appointed as an aftermath of a global scandal soon after U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna revealed the mention of Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem's name in the Epstein files. The Sultan was DP World's chairman and CEO when Khanna named him during a Congressional floor speech after visiting the Department of Justice and reading email exchanges that are a part of the Epstein files.

Along with Narayan, Essa Kazim has been appointed as the Chairman of the company.

Confirming the new appointments, the company said in an official statement, "DP World Limited announces that Group Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem has resigned from the company, effective immediately. The Board announces that His Excellency Essa Kazim has been appointed Chairman and Mr. Yuvraj Narayan has been appointed Group CEO."

Describing Narayan's contributions, the company said, "His strategic vision and financial acumen have been pivotal in expanding DP World’s operations to 79 countries, handling around 10 percent of global container trade."

It added, "Since joining DP World in 2004 and becoming Group CFO in 2005, he has led numerous strategic and transformational initiatives, ensuring the company’s robust financial health and operational efficiency."

Before joining DP World, Narayan held executive positions with ANZ Group as Head of Corporate and Project Finance for South Asia and served as Chief Financial Officer at Salalah Port Services in Oman.

Narayan also serves on the boards of HDFC International Life, Re Company Limited, and Dubai Financial Market.
