US Vice President JD Vance stoked controversy and debate as he described mass migration as a theft of the American dream.
Responding to a post celebrating the ICE raids in Louisiana, Vance remarked that mass migration strips away opportunity from Americans and therefore is antithetical to the American dream.
He said, "Mass migration is theft of the American Dream. It has always been this way, and every position paper, think tank piece, and econometric study suggesting otherwise is paid for by the people getting rich off of the old system."

While some X users agreed with him, many pointed out the glaring hypocrisy in JD Vance’s words. Netizens shared photos of his wife Usha Vance’s Indian-American family living in the US, mocking the Vice President with captions like, “21 members of Vance’s family "stealing" the American Dream."
Another user added, "That means you have to send Usha, her Indian family, and your biracial kids back to India. Let us know when (you) buy the plane tickets. You must lead by example."
