Indian man ignites debate on toxic Indian work culture / Aman via Instagram
An Indian man in Singapore has reignited the age-old conversation about Indian work culture. Sparking debate on work-life balance, Instagram user Aman addressed the differences in processing leaves and work boundaries between the two countries.
He remarked, "In India we have to beg to get a day off, we had to invent a tragedy just to get a Friday leave.” On the other hand, he said, "In Singapore, I don't ask, I inform, 'logging off, see you on Monday.'

He noted that in a "growth culture" one simply notifies and does not seek permission.
The user also spotlighted the absence of work-life balance in India, he said, "After 6 PM my phone is mine, not my boss'. No guilt, no calls, just life."
He concluded by giving a strong message to his Indian viewers and said, "If you are in the office at 8 PM even today and you consider yourself to be hardworking, you are just exploited."
