Twice denied a visa, now his AI research is turning heads

Doctoral researcher Mayank Vadaliya says hybrid machine learning system cuts traffic prediction errors by over 30% on a globally recognised benchmark

Rejected twice for a U.S. student visa, Mayank Vadaliya refused to let the setbacks define his academic aspirations. Today, the Indian doctoral researcher is developing artificial intelligence tools with real-world applications, including an open-source framework designed to improve real-time urban traffic congestion prediction.

Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Technology at the University of the Cumberlands while working as an Application Support Engineer at Tesla, Vadaliya says his journey was defined by persistence rather than setbacks.
