Sudesh Kumar made Timken president, Americas

Kumar, an almost 35 year company veteran, was previously serving as the company's Vice President of sales and customer engineering, America.

The Timken Company, an Ohio based engineering technology company, has appointed Indian American Sudesh Kumar as Timken's President of Americas.

Kumar, an almost 35 year company veteran, was previously serving as the company's Vice President of sales and customer engineering, America. His appointment is a part of Timken's administrative overhaul with new appointments to other roles including Cheif Technology Officer, Vice President of Marketing and President of Europe.

Lucian Boldea, president and chief executive officer of the company addressed the slew of appointments and said in a statement, "Having the right talent in the right place is critical to achieving that objective."

Boldea added, "These targeted leadership updates align with our primary growth drivers and further empower our team to leverage our complementary product portfolio to support customers more comprehensively as one Timken."  

Kumar joined The Timken Company in 1991 as a  Business Manager in India, he has then played leadership roles for the company in Singapore, Dubai and finally in Ohio.

A graduate of S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai, Kumar holds a Masters' degree in Business Administration.
