Rice Uni student Prasi Desai wins Barry Goldwater Scholarship
Desai will receive a $7,500 award to support her college education costs.

Indian-origin Rice University junior Prasi Desai has been awarded the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, the University announced on April 9.
The annual award recognizes pioneering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) undergraduates in the United States. It is presented by the Goldwater Foundation, a federally endowed, independent agency established by the U.S. Congress. This year, 454 Goldwater Scholarships were awarded across the country.
