CRY, Child Rights and You America is organizing a five city Annual Gala series from April 25 to May 5.
The galas will be held in the cities of New York, Houston, San Diego, Seattle and the Bay Area and will be attended by acclaimed Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey. Massey, who recently won the National Film Award and the Filmfare Award, will interact with the attendees and will endorse the global initiatives of the organization.
CRY is a 501c3 non-profit and is driven by its vision of a “just world in which all children have equal opportunities to develop to their full potential and realize their dreams”.

Boasting support from over 35,000 donors and 2,000 volunteers, CRY America has impacted the lives of 825,000 children through support to 111 Projects in India and the USA.
CRY America’s Project Partner KV Ramana, a pioneering social worker from rural Andhra Pradesh, will also be attending the event. Project Pragathi works with tribal and dalit communities on the issues of education, child labor and child marriage. Under his guidance, Project Pragathi has become a sustainable model of community empowerment.
The Bay area gala will feature rocketship.vc founder, Venky Harinarayan, as a guest speaker. Microsoft Corporate VP Priya Priyadarshini will speak at the Seattle gala, Children’s Rights Executive Director Sandy Santana in Houston and Seroda Ventures Managing Partner Kranti Ponnam in San Diego.
Inviting attendees to the event, CRY described the event as honoring “the many journeys already begun by thousands of underprivileged children through CRY Projects” and urged everyone to commit to building new pathways that lead to futures for many more children.
