MI New York defeated LA Knight Riders by six wickets on July 4, successfully chasing 166 with one ball remaining.
Chasing 166, MI New York reached 168/4 in 19.5 overs, led by an unbeaten 63 off 35 balls from Kieron Pollard and an unbeaten 37 off 24 from Corey Anderson. The pair shared an unbroken 88-run partnership for the fifth wicket after the team had slipped to 80/4 in the 12th over.
MI New York lost Quinton de Kock for a duck before Monank Patel scored 32. Nicholas Pooran made 16 and Tajinder Singh contributed 10, leaving the chase evenly poised before Pollard and Anderson steadied the innings and guided the side to victory.

Earlier, LA Knight Riders posted 165/6 after being put in to bat. Jason Holder top-scored with 43 off 22 deliveries, while Matthew Tromp made 44 off 36 and Andre Fletcher added 34 off 26. Rovman Powell contributed 23.
Corbin Bosch and Rushil Ugarkar claimed three wickets each for MI New York. Bosch returned figures of 3/19 from four overs, while Ugarkar finished with 3/43.
For LA Knight Riders, Sunil Narine delivered an economical spell, conceding just seven runs in his four overs without taking a wicket. Despite his disciplined bowling, MI New York's lower-order partnership proved decisive in the chase.
Carmi le Roux was the most successful bowler for LA Knight Riders with figures of 2/39, while Shadley van Schalkwyk took one wicket.
The victory strengthens MI New York's position in the race for the Major League Cricket playoffs, while LA Knight Riders missed the opportunity to defend a competitive total.
