Dhiraj Patkar / MedSpeed
Chicago-based health care logistics company MedSpeed has appointed Dhiraj Patkar as its chief product and technology officer.
In the role, Patkar will oversee MedSpeed’s product vision, technology strategy and digital capabilities, with a focus on improving productivity, service delivery and customer outcomes.

“Dhiraj brings an exceptional combination of product vision, business acumen, technology leadership, and deep health care expertise,” Wes Crampton, president of MedSpeed, said in a statement.
“His proven ability to scale and transform a business during a hyper-growth phase aligns perfectly with MedSpeed’s objective to create ever-smarter, more connected health care logistics networks.”
Patkar brings more than two decades of experience across health care services, payer and provider organizations, with a background in product strategy, digital transformation and technology development. Most recently, he served as senior vice president at AVIA Health, where he built and scaled a high-growth product portfolio serving digital health companies.
His previous roles include leadership positions in product strategy, engineering and customer experience at Expion Health (HRGi) and Health Care Service Corporation. He has also co-founded Medtelligent and Wishbone Club, companies focused on developing technology platforms to improve health care delivery and consumer engagement.

MedSpeed provides same-day logistics services to health care organizations, managing the enterprise-wide movement of medical materials. The company operates more than 100 hub locations across 33 states and serves 29 of the top 100 health systems in the United States.
Patkar holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Mumbai.
