ZEE5 Global has announced the digital premiere of The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond, scheduled to stream from May 8 following its theatrical run.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film features Aditi Bhatia, Ulka Gupta, and Aishwarya Ojha in lead roles.

The film shifts focus from its predecessor to the intertwined journeys of three young women from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Kerala. Their stories explore themes of trust, emotional vulnerability, and manipulation, highlighting how personal relationships can evolve into spaces of control.

Producer Shah said, "With The Kerala Story 2, the aim has always been to go beyond storytelling and create something that makes people pause, reflect, and ask difficult questions about the realities around them. It’s not just about the events shown on screen, but about understanding the deeper reasons behind them... This isn’t merely a film it serves as a wake-up call. It’s important for every mother and daughter to watch it, to stay informed and aware. What’s shown in the film closely echoes situations young women have reportedly faced in a corporate environment recently, making its message all the more immediate and relevant.”

Director Singh shared, "This film is rooted in human experiences and emotions. It focuses on how individuals, especially young women, can find themselves in situations they never imagined. We’ve tried to tell these stories with sensitivity and honesty, and I hope audiences connect with their journeys."

Actors involved in the project also emphasized the emotional depth of their roles. Bhatia said the film pushed her to explore complex emotional shifts, while Gupta described her role as one of the most demanding of her career, shaped by internal conflict and resilience. Ojha noted that her character reflects how external pressures and emotional manipulation can shape individual choices.

According to the platform, the film will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, as part of efforts to expand its reach across diverse audiences.

Kaveri Das, business head for Hindi content at ZEE5, said the platform aims to bring “emotionally rich and complex narratives” to viewers through its evolving content strategy.

The film’s digital release comes amid ongoing discussions around its themes, positioning it as a conversation-driven title within the platform’s catalogue.
