The India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) announced that its flagship summer cultural festival, “Colors of India – Stories That Inspire,” will be held on August 15, at the NARA Park Amphitheater in Acton, Massachusetts.
The free event, which will run from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will bring together members of the New England community to celebrate India’s cultural heritage through music, dance, food, art, and community engagement.

Organizers said this year’s theme, “Stories That Inspire,” focuses on the diverse narratives that have shaped India’s cultural identity and its global diaspora.
According to the organizers, the venue was selected after evaluating multiple options to improve accessibility, comfort, and the overall visitor experience. NARA Park offers an open-air setting for cultural performances, ample parking, family-friendly amenities, and space for community booths and activities.
“This move allows IAGB to create a more immersive, comfortable, and engaging festival experience for attendees of all ages,” said Prashant Kulkarni.
The festival will feature cultural performances spanning classical, folk, Bollywood, and fusion traditions, along with community booths representing artists, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses.
The cultural program is being curated by Jharna Madan, Shital Bhammer, and Arpita Das Pathak, who are overseeing a lineup designed to showcase the diversity of Indian artistic traditions.
Visitors will also be able to sample Indian cuisine and refreshments, participate in family-friendly cultural activities, and enjoy live music performances.
Apna Bazar Farmers Market is the grand sponsor of the event, supporting IAGB’s efforts to promote cultural awareness, community service, and civic engagement. Craft Indian Kitchen will serve as the food partner, while food vendor coordination is being led by Deepak Garg and IAGB president Nilesh Agrawal.
Admission and parking will be free, with organizers encouraging families and community members to attend the outdoor celebration.
The announcement comes as IAGB continues to expand its cultural and community programming across New England. In recent months, the organization has hosted events including its Republic Day Mela, Discover India cultural series, community service initiatives, and senior engagement programs, while also participating in Independence Day celebrations and civic outreach efforts across the region.
Founded more than six decades ago, IAGB is one of the oldest Indian American organizations in the United States and serves as a cultural, civic, and community hub for the Indian diaspora across New England.
