The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) has chosen Folio as the official technology platform for the AAHOA Marketplace, a network that will offer hotel owners access to products and services at reduced costs.
The announcement comes ahead of the launch of an updated version of the procurement platform later this year.

AAHOA said the revamped platform, built by Folio, is designed to improve purchasing and bill payment for its members. Planned features include simplified buying across suppliers, mobile access, cash-back rewards on eligible purchases, and automated accounting tools supported by artificial intelligence.
The marketplace will remain free for AAHOA members and continue to offer supplier discounts and deals curated for hotel owners, the association said.
“We have been blown away by the passion and dedication that AAHOA Members have for their guests and their operations, and we are honored to support their work,” Folio CEO Kate Adamson said in a statement.
“The custom-built version of Folio will not just help accelerate the delivery of savings in the AAHOA Marketplace, but also give a vital segment of the industry access to powerful operating and payments technology,” Adamson added.
AAHOA chairman Kamalesh “KP” Patel said the partnership is intended to strengthen both procurement and operational efficiency for members.
“AAHOA Members deserve the best technology, as well as the best procurement. Folio gets us closer to achieving that,” Patel said. “With our powers combined, Folio will make it even easier for our members to save both time and money.”
AAHOA vice chairman Rahul Patel said the collaboration would bring tools often used by larger hotel groups to independent owners and operators within the association.
“This is a huge win for our members,” Patel said. “The technology offered by Folio has typically been reserved for the largest hotel groups. Together, we are all building something custom for AAHOA Members.”
AAHOA president and CEO Laura Lee Blake said the organization has focused on partnerships that improve member services and business operations.
“AAHOA has been laser-focused on finding great collaborators to co-create programs that support our members,” Blake said. “It is clear how Folio will be able to deliver an easier and more efficient procurement experience. The planned updates to the platform will help members easily find more supplier deals and more member savings.”
The collaboration was formally introduced at AAHOACON26, being held in Philadelphia from April 8 to 10, where members can preview the updated marketplace.
AAHOA Marketplace was introduced as a centralized purchasing platform intended to help hotel owners access negotiated supplier pricing, streamline ordering, and reduce procurement friction. The addition of Folio expands the platform into financial operations and payments technology, tools that are often more accessible to large branded hotel groups than to smaller owner-operators.
