Former IMF First Deputy Managing Director Gita Gopinath warned that "everything has changed" for the global economy, saying rising tariffs, geopolitical tensions and growing uncertainty are reshaping the global order despite resilient growth figures.
Speaking on Radio Davos, the World Economic Forum's official podcast recorded during the Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Gopinath said strong economic growth in 2025 masked deeper structural changes that could have long-term consequences for trade, investment and financial stability.
