Renascent Media hosted a Diwali celebration at the Bridgewater Commons Mall in Bridgewater, New Jersey on Oct. 18 and 19.

Titled, 'Diwali @ The Commons', the cultural celebration brought the color, music, and spirit of India’s biggest festival to one of the premier shopping destinations of the East Coast.

The two-day festival showcased live folk dances, a saree walk, live music, a mini-Ramleela, and a Bollywood flash mob finale. It also offered free mehndi stations, vendor displays, product sampling, and community activities, attracting thousands from New Jersey and nearby states.

Tanvi Prenita Chandra, President of Renascent Media, highlighted the significance of the cultural celebration and said, “Diwali @ The Commons is more than an event — it is a feeling of unity, belonging, and cultural pride brought to life in a mainstream space.”

“Our previous one-day festivals created such excitement that we knew we had to expand to reflect the scale of Diwali,” said Tom Kovacic, Marketing & Business Development Director, Bridgewater Commons.

He further said, “It was wonderful to see not just our strong South Asian community participate, but also guests from all backgrounds learning about the culture and its traditions.”
