National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya outlined a vision for biomedical research emphasizing technological innovation, structural reforms, and the need to rebuild public trust in science.

Speaking at an event at the University of Florida, Bhattacharya focused on the growing burden of chronic diseases, the challenge of scaling treatment advances affordably, and the importance of supporting researchers across the country working in both basic and translational science.
