In a LinkedIn post announcing her new role, Khosla said she is looking forward to advancing data-driven practices in higher education. “I am excited to share that I’ve joined Washington State University as Special Assistant to the Provost for Data Strategy,” she said, adding that she plans to help institutions “leverage data thoughtfully and strategically.”

She said the role will involve working across the university to assess its data landscape and support decision-making efforts. “I’m grateful for the journey that brought me here and I’m looking forward to learning, listening, and contributing to this next chapter,” she said.

Khosla brings more than two decades of experience in higher education data analytics, data management, business intelligence, and governance. Most recently, she served as director of the enterprise data warehouse in the Office of Data, Assessment, and Institutional Research at Kansas State University, where she led initiatives to advance institutional data strategy and modernize data systems.

Her work there included overseeing organizational changes in data functions, implementing governance frameworks, and launching the university’s first cloud-based data warehouse. She also built and led teams focused on enabling data-driven decision-making across campus.

Before joining Kansas State University, Khosla spent 19 years at Colorado State University, where she held multiple roles in data management, business intelligence development, and institutional research support, including work as a senior BI/data warehouse developer analyst in the Office of Institutional Research.

She is currently a board member and secretary of Higher Education Data World, an organization focused on collaboration and best practices in higher education data and analytics. Khosla has also contributed as a panelist and facilitator in national discussions, including participation in the 2025 EDUCAUSE Horizon Report | Data & Analytics Edition.

Khosla holds a master’s degree in computer science from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Data Management Professional. She has also completed leadership programs, including the HERS Leadership Institute, the Harvard Management Development Program, and the Carruthers and Jackson Chief Data Officer Summer School.
