Indian American author and wellness expert Deepak Chopra issued a public statement denying any wrongdoing after his name appeared in newly released documents linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

In a recent post on X, Chopra responded to references in records released by the Department of Justice, which included email correspondence between Chopra and Jeffrey Epstein from several years after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.

“I want to be clear: I was never involved in, nor did I participate in, any criminal or exploitative conduct. Any contact I had was limited and unrelated to abusive activity,” Chopra wrote.

Chopra acknowledged that some of the resurfaced emails reflected what he described as lapses in judgment. “I regret that and understand how they read today, given what was publicly known at the time,” he wrote, referring to the tone of certain communications.

He concluded by emphasizing his call for justice: “My focus remains on supporting accountability, prevention, and efforts that protect and support survivors.”

“I am deeply saddened by the suffering of the victims in this case, and I unequivocally condemn abuse and exploitation in all forms,” Chopra wrote.

The statement, posted amid heightened public attention following the Justice Department’s release of millions of pages of Epstein-related records, had drawn more than 5.9 million views at the time of writing.
