Indian-American attorney Arti Ajit Hirani has concluded her term as president of The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division (YLD) on June 19, marking the end of a year defined by statewide outreach, and support for junior lawyers.

Hirani served as the second Indian American president of the YLD. During her tenure, she worked alongside Florida Bar president Rosalyn Sia Baker-Barnes to expand engagement opportunities for young attorneys and law students across the state.

Among the division’s notable accomplishments was the launch of its first Florida Bar Job & Resource Fair, which connected young lawyers and law students with more than 70 employers from private practice, government agencies, public-interest organizations and nontraditional legal sectors. The event attracted participants from several states and provided opportunities for interviews, and professional networking.

Under Hirani’s leadership, the YLD also hosted its largest Affiliate Outreach Conference to date, drawing more than 200 early-career attorneys for networking and professional development. The division further addressed emerging issues in the legal profession through its inaugural Artificial Intelligence Seminar in April, which attracted approximately 4,200 participants in person and online. The program explored the growing role of artificial intelligence in legal practice and the profession’s evolving technological landscape.

In addition, Hirani supported regional listening sessions organized by The Florida Bar, providing members with a platform to discuss concerns ranging from court operations and case backlogs to time-management challenges.

"It has been a real honor to lead The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and work so closely with Sia. I am incredibly proud of the work we have done to support our state's young lawyers at early stages of their careers. I believe that the legal future of the Sunshine State is bright, and I am deeply grateful to The Florida Bar for entrusting us with the opportunity to help shape it,”  said Hirani.

Outside her leadership role, Hirani is licensed to practice in both Florida and New York and focuses on business law, contract disputes, estate planning, international tax and probate matters.
